From the Archives: The Art of Prioritization

For my day job, I started teaching a new class that's longer than usual. Preparing for it required me to spend a few more hours at work, which ate into the time I usually reserve for writing this blog. On top of that, there are some major wildfires burning around Spokane. We’ve been fortunate not to be directly affected, but my family spent some time this week volunteering to sort donations for those that have been evacuated or lost their homes.

So instead of putting out a new post this week, I wanted to bring an older post back. I published this nearly two years ago, but it’s an important topic worth revisiting. It’s something I still have to remind myself about when things get chaotic: what’s urgent is rarely the same as what’s important.
