November 5: Stop Overwatering! š«š¦
You wouldnāt drown a plant with water, so why flood your team with meaningless āthanksā? Give recognition where it countsādeep and specific.
Sincere recognition doesnāt need to be frequent, but it does need to be meaningful. Too much and it loses its value.
Just like drowning a plant with too much water, overloading your team with generic praise can backfire. Donāt say āgood jobā five times a day just for the sake of itāfocus on recognizing moments that truly deserve it.
Take Action: For the next week, hold back on giving automatic praise. When you do give recognition, make it specific and tied to something important.
