November 5: Stop Overwatering! đ«đŠ
You wouldnât drown a plant with water, so why flood your team with meaningless âthanksâ? Give recognition where it countsâdeep and specific.
Sincere recognition doesnât need to be frequent, but it does need to be meaningful. Too much and it loses its value.
Just like drowning a plant with too much water, overloading your team with generic praise can backfire. Donât say âgood jobâ five times a day just for the sake of itâfocus on recognizing moments that truly deserve it.
Take Action: For the next week, hold back on giving automatic praise. When you do give recognition, make it specific and tied to something important.
